Your puppy can start getting a haircut as soon as they receive all of their puppy shots, usually around 3 months old. We recommend to just do the bare minimum, the bath, some trimming around, some trimming around the sanitary (butt & belly), rounding the feet, shaving the paw pads, and around the eyes & eyebrows/bangs. 

Years of experience has shown that starting slow and steady has a positive result on a pets grooming career moving forward. We recommend to heed our advise on this, you won't regret it.

Hand stripping is a specialty grooming offered by Paw-radise.

Benjamin Major has competed and won competitions involving hand stripping and has trained his staff to make sure we may continue to offer this form of art as fewer and fewer groomers are remembering old styles of grooming.

Hand stripping starts at $135 for small breeds but a conversation with Benjamin or one of his staff members experience with hands stripping is recommended to make sure you know you are being taken care by professionals.

Paw-radise wants to remain transparent and honest. 

Bathing and drying a pet on average takes 45 minutes to an hour depending on size, attitude, and coat.

Then grooming takes an average of 45 minutes to an hour depending again on size, attitude, and coat. 

So this puts us at about 2 hours but we request 3 as there is typically a delay between the bathing and the grooming for a multitude of situations from eating lunch, to having to rebathe a dog to an elderly pet requiring a little more time then the average.

So if 3 hours is outside of your comfort range we offer an express service that makes sure your pet is done without any delay and is prioritized from the moment he arrives to the moment we finish.

You can expect the service to take on average 1.5 hours to 2 hours with our staff contacting you in advance so your pet may be handed right back to you in the lobby just as the groomer is finishing up the service!

This expeditated service can be requested for an additional $30 to your pets service.
